Batesburg-Leesville Primary and the B-L and Twin City Rotary Clubs will present "Got Book?" on Tuesday, January 31 at 6 p.m. in the BLPS cafeteria. An art show will also be held from 5-7 p.m. and a spaghetti supper sponsored by the school's PTO will be held in the cafeteria beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Common Planning/Early Release Day will be held on Wednesday, February 1. There will be no Afterschool Program at Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School on this date. Dismissal times for all schools are as follows: B-L Primary, 12:45 p.m.; B-L Elementary, 1:00 p.m.; B-L Middle, 1:36 p.m; and B-L High, 1:50 p.m.

Mrs. Quarles' Class

Instructor: Brandee Quarles

Welcome to Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School, third grade, and to your child’s new class. I am Mrs. Brandee Quarles and I am excited and proud to be your child’s English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher.

The new school year brings me to my 14^th year teaching. I began at BLPS where I taught first grade for one year and I have been teaching 3^rd grade at BLES ever since.

I am proud to say that I have been starting a new school year in B-L since 1979. I am a 1993 graduate of BLHS and a 1998 graduate of the College of Charleston. I am married to Jeff Quarles and we have two children. Payton is in the 6^th grade and Ellee is in 2nd grade.

I will give your child all that I have to ensure that he/she masters the South Carolina Curriculum Standards and has fun while doing so. I am looking forward to a successful 2010-2011 school year.
